WoW Forever Addons

Quick Answer

Choose WoW Forever addons by the task you need to solve, then confirm the exact project and Forever-supported file. Use the directory to distinguish similarly named tools before downloading.

WoW Forever addons are available for interface customization, quest information, inventory organization and in-game references. Choose a project that explicitly supports World of Warcraft: Forever, then check its individual download file. A familiar name, a Classic screenshot or an old recommendation does not establish Forever compatibility.

Use this directory to identify the project you want. It separates tools with similar names and explains what their support statements actually tell you. It is not a ranking, and a published Forever file does not guarantee that every module works after every client update.

Find the right kind of addon

Start with the job you want the addon to perform. A quest map, a route guide and a dungeon reference can all mention quests while solving different problems.

Your taskProject to examineImportant distinction
See additional quest information on the mapQuestieA quest-information tool, not a promise of a complete guided route
Look up dungeon quests and boss lootDungeonJournalDifferent from the separate project named Forever Dungeon Journal
Browse loot and gear recommendationsAtlasLoot ForeverCheck the exact fork and its Forever-tagged file
Add conveniences while retaining your interfaceForeverPlus or WoW Forever SuiteIndividual optional modules rather than one required configuration
Replace multiple interface elements togetherForeverUIA full suite whose modules can also be switched off
Create custom aura displaysForeverAuras by NeroxrwA separate WeakAuras fork, not the original WeakAuras package
Manage enabled-addon selections across charactersForeverAddonManagerDoes not download addons or copy their internal settings

The last column matters as much as the project name. Downloading a similarly named addon can give you a different feature set even when both projects mention Forever.

Quest information and visual cues

Questie adds information about available quests, objectives and turn-ins. Forever already provides quest guidance for accepted quests, so the additional value is information beyond your current log and the presentation you prefer. Forever-specific quest data can still be incomplete. A missing marker is not, by itself, proof that the quest is unavailable.

Forever Quest Tint serves a narrower purpose. Its author describes a teal treatment for quests that were not in original Vanilla, with optional markers in the log and tracker. It identifies those quests using a stored list of Vanilla quest IDs. Missing entries in that list can cause an original quest to be marked as new, so treat the color as a useful cue rather than a definitive content classification.

Its options also mention Questie icon tinting. That changes existing icons; it does not fill in quests absent from Questie's database. If you want a complete route, compare a route guide separately instead of expecting a color or marker addon to decide your entire leveling path.

Quest text styling is an optional presentation change.

Dungeon and loot projects with similar names

DungeonJournal is the project that documents the /dj command. Its author describes in-game boss drops, dungeon quests, rewards and quest locations. The project lists a Forever file named ForeverDungeonJournal1.6.6.zip, dated November 3, 2026. That filename does not make it the same project as every addon containing the words “Forever Dungeon Journal.”

Forever Dungeon Journal is a separate project described as a spoiler-light atlas and personal exploration journal. Its description labels much of its feature list as planned. Do not select it expecting every advertised discovery, annotation or data-pack function to be finished.

Forever Guide by LFYZ is another distinct project. Its author describes a broader reference window with dungeon, item, profession and quest information, opened with /fguide. Decide whether you want a focused journal or a broader reference tool before installing multiple databases for the same task.

AtlasLoot Forever is a loot-focused fork with a Forever flavor and a file tagged 1.60.1. Its author advertises loot tables and gear recommendation features. Read recommendations as that project's database and scoring choices, rather than proof of an independently verified best item for every future phase.

Interface suites and convenience modules

ForeverUI is a full interface project with party and raid frames, action bars, unit frames, bags, nameplates and other modules. The author provides /fui as its main settings command and allows modules to be disabled. It is useful to know that scope before adding separate replacements for each of those same elements.

ForeverPlus has a different emphasis: configurable conveniences, warnings, chat, tooltips and information displays. Its settings open with /fplus. You can disable individual modules or a whole settings page. An advertised feature being available does not mean you must enable it.

WoW Forever Suite uses /wfs and describes optional interface, inventory, training and everyday tools. Most features start disabled. Its inventory records reflect what was last recorded while playing a character or visiting a bank; they are not a live view into an offline character's current inventory.

These projects can overlap. Give each interface element or automatic action one owner. For example, if a suite already handles junk sales, adding a second automatic seller introduces another setting to check whenever merchant behavior changes.

Aura frameworks and addon profiles

ForeverAuras by Neroxrw is listed as a WeakAuras fork for Forever. Its project page supplies /fa and /foreverauras for the options window and has a Forever release dated November 4, 2026. The description still includes beta-development wording. A current file and an older description can coexist, so read the release and limitations together.

ForeverUI also uses the name ForeverAuras for its own aura-icon module. Keep that module separate from Neroxrw's standalone fork when comparing commands, imports or instructions. Shared wording does not establish interchangeable profiles.

ForeverAddonManager is another name that needs context. It manages which installed addons are enabled, with account-wide selection profiles and character assignments. It does not copy layouts, keybindings or another addon's configuration. Use it for selecting addon sets, not for expecting all character settings to match.

Keep addon systems separate from game systems

Overlord Forever is an example of a project whose purpose needs more explanation than its name. Its author describes territory captures, rankings and objectives shared between players running the addon. The associated platinum is an addon resource, separate from your character's gold. The project says its state travels through addon communication rather than a server operated for that system.

That distinction matters when deciding what to install. A feature provided through cooperation between addon users is not automatically a native objective visible to everyone in the game. The number of participating users, communication and the relevant play context can affect what information you see.

Use the same identity check for other broad tools: establish whether the project is a reference database, a display, a recorded history or a shared addon system. Similar-looking map markers can represent very different kinds of information.

Read support labels before committing to a project

A useful compatibility check has three parts:

  1. Confirm the author and exact project identity.
  2. Check that the chosen release explicitly includes Forever, including multi-flavor releases where applicable.
  3. Review dependencies, current notes and the particular feature you need.

Published Forever files include targets such as 1.60.1 and author references to interface 16001. Those are release targets, not a permanent promise about future client builds. Do not reject a supported multi-flavor archive merely because it also lists another WoW version; equally, do not assume a Retail-only archive supports Forever.

After installation, check the actual task: open the reference window, inspect a known quest, or use the inventory view you selected. Loading successfully is the first check. A useful result from the feature you need is the next one.
